Everything is Rosy and wreath builder card

Yesterday I shared some tags that go well with this card… because they were made at the same time!

I used the Playing with Patterns dsp and some of the Purple Posy cardstock to create a few panels.

I then used my big pile of die cuts to create a large bouquet/ cluster of flowers and leaves down one of the panels.

Next I embossed the sentiment from the everything is rosy stamp set.

I finished off with the gems to embellish the die cutting.

Beautiful but simple … due mainly to those gorgeous dies and the pretty papers!

Happy crafting!

Tag Thursday… wreath builder meets everything is rosy

Today’s tag… I’m thinking Tag Thursday may become a regular thing… is actually two tags using the lovely Playing with Patterns paper and a whole host of die cuts I had cut from scraps of cardstock.

So it started as a pile of small scraps (less than 2″ wide) which I did a mammoth die cutting session to end up with a whole pile of die cuts. I used forever flourishing, everything is rosy and wreath builder dies to create this little pile of loveliness.

Next I took another couple of scraps of Purple Posy cardstock and cut it into 2″ strips and punched them to create the tags using the Scalloped Tag Topper punch. I then added the dsp.

I chose different green sprigs and then the purple posy large flower and some of the Bumble bee smaller flowers to make a pretty cluster on each of the tags.

I decided to emboss an old sentiment from the stash and cut a little banner sentiment to sit over the flowers. I also chose some cord from the stash for the top.

The finishing touch was to add the little enamel gems.

Love how these little tags came out… a and check back tomorrow to see the matching card I made.

But first my little snippet of life… tiredness is still a thing I can’t quite shift and the last few days of work have been super busy. Crafting in an evening on a work day currently out of the question as the two things mentioned above don’t make a good combination. Hence no blog post yesterday. In other news the brown hair looks fab and cheese is still my healthy eating nemesis … but hoping that the cheese bake I ate for lunch is the last of the Christmas cheese fest!

Oh and after checking with a friend how old her son was I worked out hubby and I have been together for 18 years as of yesterday… both of us forgot yesterday, but with the help of working out how old our friends son is (she was pregnant when we got together) we now know! So well done us!

Happy crafting!

Stampin Up Sunday: Forever Fern playing with patterns card

I decided to play with the Playing with Patterns dsp and mix in with some Forever Fern stamped images and some die cut shapes.

I used the Purple Posy cardstock to layer up the elements and also some of the stitched shapes.

A simple one really with lots of lovely ink on die cuts… I love blending ink on these stamps.

Happy crafting!
