Advent cardmaking: Nativity

Today is the final day in my advent cardmaking series… was touch and go whether I would get all 24 videos done… but got there! And saved the nativity as my final theme… after all that’s what Christmas is all about!

The card I made is a simple one… a digi stamp image I had already coloured and a panel with papers I had already sorted beforehand.

So I pretty much added the frame and the sentiment and added some shimmer using my wink of Stella and that’s pretty much it!

So I hope you’ve enjoyed this series of cards… it’s been fun having a different theme each day. Here is the last video.

And now it is time for me to enjoy the festivities… wishing you all a fabulous Christmas!

Happy crafting!

Advent cardmaking: Snowglobe

Today’s Christmas theme is a snow globe and I made a non shaking shaker card! I used my favourite stamp set from last year to create the little snow globe. It was too small however to turn into a proper shaker but still think that it looks cute with the snow glitter!

The background uses Winter frost papers from SU that I cut down to fit the 4×4 inch card blank.

Enjoy the video here.

Advent cardmaking: sleigh

Of course the sleigh had to make an appearance at some point in the advent cardmaking series… so this card is the one I made for this theme.

Another magazine freebie set with some very cute stamps… love this one with the sleigh and reindeer.

I teamed it with Winter frost papers that I’ve had for ages but still love and a smoky slate card blank I made. Then I finished with the Tim Holtz die cut holly covered with wink of Stella.

And here is the video.

Advent cardmaking: Baubles

Day 2 on the advent cardmaking series and the theme is baubles… after all we need baubles for decorating the tree.

I chose to go painty with this one… here is the video of the process.

I created the tag with a combination of fresco finish paints and Paperartsy stamps by Emma Godfrey… then the baubles using Darcy stamps.

Love the funky nature of this and it works so well with the Winter Frost papers.

And here it is in daylight…

Use them or lose them #2 set 2 Santa’s Gifts

So this year I have decided to challenge myself to make a set of card, scrapbook page or journal layout using each of my stamp sets as I know I have some I rarely use!  Time to change that!

This week picked up Santa’s Gifts stamp set. I know christmas is over but it’s time to start on those cards already.

So I made three little cards choosing a different colour scheme for these than I’ve used before by choosing the Winter Frost dsp scraps as the background and Soft Sky for the cardstock. I also pulled out a bit of lace to make them fancier!

For all three I coloured the tree using the ink and a water brush and then a SU marker.

Love how pretty these are!

Defintely a keeper of a set!
