Today’s Christmas theme is a snow globe and I made a non shaking shaker card! I used my favourite stamp set from last year to create the little snow globe. It was too small however to turn into a proper shaker but still think that it looks cute with the snow glitter!
The background uses Winter frost papers from SU that I cut down to fit the 4×4 inch card blank.
Enjoy the video here.
Of course the sleigh had to make an appearance at some point in the advent cardmaking series… so this card is the one I made for this theme.
Another magazine freebie set with some very cute stamps… love this one with the sleigh and reindeer.
I teamed it with Winter frost papers that I’ve had for ages but still love and a smoky slate card blank I made. Then I finished with the Tim Holtz die cut holly covered with wink of Stella.
And here is the video.
A simple card for today’s make… using a star stamp to make a focal point…
And then a strip of Winter Frost paper, a sentiment sticker and some sequins… can’t get much simpler.
And the short video sharing the process can be found here
Day 2 on the advent cardmaking series and the theme is baubles… after all we need baubles for decorating the tree.
I chose to go painty with this one… here is the video of the process.
I created the tag with a combination of fresco finish paints and Paperartsy stamps by Emma Godfrey… then the baubles using Darcy stamps.
Love the funky nature of this and it works so well with the Winter Frost papers.
And here it is in daylight…
So this year I have decided to challenge myself to make a set of card, scrapbook page or journal layout using each of my stamp sets as I know I have some I rarely use! Time to change that!
This week picked up Santa’s Gifts stamp set. I know christmas is over but it’s time to start on those cards already.
So I made three little cards choosing a different colour scheme for these than I’ve used before by choosing the Winter Frost dsp scraps as the background and Soft Sky for the cardstock. I also pulled out a bit of lace to make them fancier!
For all three I coloured the tree using the ink and a water brush and then a SU marker.
Love how pretty these are!
Defintely a keeper of a set!
The hubby challenged me to a card competition using similar stash and we had to come up with our own designs. My parents are the judges and they had to work out whose was whose and which was best.
So here are the two entries…
I have say I am very worried that his talent might be a tad too good for a beginner!
So can you guess whose is whose? And whose is the better card?
Results from the parents (and an additional third judge of my auntie) were that they guessed and chose in my favour! But accolades given to the hubby for his first card making effort ad being superb. Plus he is claiming a win as the princess had to ask whose is whose when she first saw them. Obviously I still won really… but then again as it’s christmas I might not rub it in too much!
Catherine and Vin too!
Yes I’m back with another couple of cards I made for my friend…
I started with a Clarity stencil and some texture paste…
Then some fabulous paper, stamped funky Dylusions stocking and sentiments using clarity letterbox stamps.
Fun and funky!
More cards to be shared tomorrow… Hope you pop back to see them!
