I got your number AT Coins

Today I’ve got some fun coins I made for my Artist Trading Coins swap group where the challenge I set for this month is “I got your number”.

I decided to create my AtCoins starting with a base of Fresco finish paints and stamping Paperartsy images. I added some torn papers adding more stamping and paint.

Then I took my Indigo Blu clock stamp and added those stamped pieces and the sentiment. I finished off with some die cut numbers and a gem for each coin.

I love the contrast to the coins with the complimentary colours.

So here are my “I got your number” coins. Hope the recipients like them too.

Happy crafting!

DT: CHNC: my own background

I wanted to play with paints for this week’s CHNC challenge and Hazel had challenged us to make our own background.

So I created a green background with a few different colours of fresco finish paints and stamps and stencils. I also added some splashes and doodles.

Then for the focal I used some kraft cardstock and embossed the flower from a Creative Stamping magazine set. I also added the sentiment in white embossing. I then used mats and layers to build up the card.

Love how cool this looks.

UK Stampers Forum swap… fancy phrases coins

Another day, another set of coins… this time for UK stampers forum swap…

I went with a bit of simple stamping using the beautiful flower stamp from Fancy Phrases.

I started with base painted with Cheesecake and Prawn fresco finish paints. Then stamped in sepia archival. I then added a little more paint using the cheesecake and guacamole to define some of the Flowers and leaves.

I also added some sparkle with the shimmer ink and splattering it all over them.

I decided to add a strip of washi tape and the sentiments which I’d stamped on prawn painted cardstock.

I also added some gems I found in the stash.

Love how delicate these are. They are sort of vintage with a pop of modern with the prawn and the glitter.

Blue AT Coin swap

I took part in a pocket letter swap and received an amazing one made by Karen with the Boho Indigo kit. She was generous to also include lots of extras in the back.

I decided to create my artist trading coins for the Artist trading coin swap where the challenge for this month is BLUE using some of the bits and pieces Karen had gifted me.

I layered up the vases and added some of the leaves and then layered it onto coins I had painted with fresco finish paint.

I added the hello sentiment using gold pen to edge the sentiments.

I used the same gold pen to add dots around the edge of the coins.

I finished off with sequins and added some wink of stella to one of the leaf die cuts in each coin.

Love how these came out.

Stampin Up sunday: Bird and Branches inchies

This week I have an odd thing to share with you for my stampin up Sunday post… six inchies using the flower stamp from Birds and Branches.

I made these for a swap at UK stampers and as I haven’t got any other SU projects on that I can share I figured why not share these for the Stampin Up Sunday.

I painted the inchies I’d cut from thick cardboard using my fresco finish paints and then stamped the flower using black versafine ink.

Next I stamped them again in Calypso Coral, die cut them with the coordinating dies and used some old flower brads to embellish before sticking them to the inchies.

Not my usual style but fun inchies nonetheless. And a different stampin up Sunday for me to share!

Autumn Leaves artist trading coins

Today I have the coins I made for the swap I organise on Facebook. This month the theme is Autumn Leaves…

I had a hunt through the stash and found these fab metal leaves from an old Artful Days Goodie box.

I took three precut coins and gave them a coat of paint using mudsplat and autumn fire. I also stamped onto them using mudsplat to give a textured background.

Next I stamped in flitter glu the swirl from timeless textures and added gilding flakes. I love the effect this gives of a mottled metal.

Next I added the leaves with some linen thread. Then finished off with the sentiment stamped in fired brick distress ink.

As the leaves are so cool I didn’t think it needed much else.

Under the sea artist trading coins

Last month the theme for my swap was Under the Sea but I was very last minute getting my swaps sorted… I made them on Monday! Ooops! Well they were just in time for the deadline!

I used some indigo Blu stamps I’ve had for a while.

I created a blue background using three colours of fresco finish paints and stamped one of the shell stamps in the background but it is barely visible. I then stamped the bubbles image using white embossing and the seaweed stamp using the Seth Apter Baked Texture embossing powder.

Next I stamped and embossed the seahorses onto kraft card stock and fussy cut them out, then I stamped the sentiment onto some spare card and cut them out.

I die cut the coins and layered up the elements. I then sanded the edge to lighten the colour and frame the coins.

Love how these turned out.

Now this month the theme for the coin swap is Autumn Leaves and I must not be so late this month in my makes! Anyone UK based fancy joining the swap join our group on Facebook! https://www.facebook.com/groups/188698838620167/?ref=share

Anyway… here they are…

Complimentary colours postcard

This month Alison challenged us to use complimentary colours for our postcard. So I decided to play with blue and orange for mine and got the Fresco finish paints out to play. Admittedly the blue I chose has a green hue to it but I consider it a blue nonetheless!

I used the crackle glaze and some scrapinec pieces for the main layers and then the Magnolia Blooms for the focal point.

The background panel also used the Birch stamp.

Lots of fun to play with paints. No real plan in mind, just playing!

Till roll swap

So I signed up to do a till roll swap. Rule was to make 3 foot long strips of artwork using the till roll. So here is what I made…

I did lots of stamping and used washi tape. I also added small bits of text print, raffle tickets, stamped sentiments and some correction tape and posca pens.

I added the main feature of the images which I actually received in a swap and some Paperartsy fresco finish paint. Then I used some foiling which I hadn’t used in ages so that we fun and pens for doodling.

Then I did a bit of hand sewing on each to add texture…. this you have to be gentle with or choose areas where there are other layers adhered to strengthen.

I also used my heat tool to make the thermal roll react which creates such a cool effect.

Love how these came out.

Beastie till roll ATCs

I joined in a swap where the rules were to make three ATCs with either butterflies, insects or bees … “beautiful beasties” on them… so I chose to finish off the till roll I had made and add butterfly embellishments to meet the challenge of the swap.

Love how the different colours of butterfly worked with the till rolls and the backgrounds I added to the ATCs.

I added bits of doodling and some sentiment stickers to finish off as the butterflies are enough of a statement. I also added small enamel dots to each card in the colour scheme I thought fitted the card best.
