Lollipop Box Kit, Washi tape

Happy new home Mum and Dad

This past weekend we’ve been supporting my parents to move home … to somewhere nearer to ours and hopefully a little more future proof for their ages and increasing frailties.

Here is the card I made for them using old Lollipop Box Club Kits.

Just like last time I played with a little hand sewing too!

Love how cute the colours are in Lollipop box club kits … Lisa chooses it all so well!

Just don’t really do the journaling anymore so need to find new uses for the stash!

Happy crafting!

Playing with Lollipop box club kits

Still looking round the craft room at stash that needs sorting out and came across my box of lollipop box club kits…

Decided to make a card using bits from that to send to a friend!

I mean how cute are these papers and embellishments. I also decided to add a bit of hand sewing … because that was what I was as in the mood for!

It is just a mush mash of bits but I think a cute card at the end of it!

Journal page… all about Chuck

Sat down and did a bit of journalling in my 2021 journal. Did a page about Lucky Chuck (rest in peace little hog). Used a mix of supplies from Lollipop Box Club kits.

It was an unplanned and pulled from many collections type of page … love it!

Considering doing a bit of a purge of the boxes that are almost finished and putting them into one organisation system… stickers in one place, die cuts in others… what do you think? At the moment I have no grasp on what is left in some kits and could do without a big pile of boxes on my desk.

Oh and if you are interested I did film this page being put together… here is the link!

Journalling 2021… May Bank holiday

Sharing another page in my 2021 junk journal… really love this way of documenting.

Once again I remembered to put the camera on … so check out the video here.

I mainly used the April Lollipop Box Club kit and had lots of fun with sewing and layers. Took me a while to come to a finishing point I must admit and still feel it needs something else but not sure exactly what just yet!

Love the fact I could use the tab on the pull out card, and although my writing ends up a bit scruffy love the fact that the new SU colour Soft Succulent coordinates so well with the colours in the kit.

Also love the shimmer paint I added to the background. I know the pics don’t do it justice, but Little Rainbow Moon paints are just so lovely to use.

Catching up in my 2021 journal

I’ve had such a small amount of crafting time this month, but last night I had myself some journalling time and managed a page in my 2021 journal.

I used papers from the May Lollipop Box Club kit and then trawled through other kits to find other bits and pieces to add onto the page and finish it off.

Had lots of fun making it, and it was a perfect end to the day. Really wish I could spend more time crafting!

I did actually video the process and just uploaded it to YouTube here. If you fancy watching my process please check it out.

Junk journal 2021… covid vaccine

This week I am actually off to the hospital for my 2nd jab tomorrow, but I did actually document the first jab in my 2021 junk journal.

I did this page quite quickly with the photos from the day and using the Lollipop Box Club kit from Feb…

I also added some bits of washi I had been sent on a swap, but I had kept for the purpose of using them on a page at some point… I love keeping bits and pieces like this and then finding a use for them.

I added some journalling on the back of the bits I added into the pocket I made from a kit bag. These include the not so pleasant side effects I ended up with from the vaccine…but I still was so happy to be getting the vaccine and to become part of the solution to moving on with our lives!

Now fingers crossed the 2nd jab doesn’t cause too many side effects tomorrow.

Coffee page in my Ladybird book journal

Today I am sharing the page I made in my Smile themed junk journal…. and it is based on coffee! After all coffee definitely helps bring a smile to my face every day!

I used Art by Marlene collage papers alongside the Lollipop Box Club kit for February 2021. And the coffee stamped image is a really old SU set I got rid of many years ago but still had one stamped image left which was perfect for adding to this page.

I had fun with adding paint and doodles and stickers… basically a lovely chilled out 20 mins creating the page.

Craftanoon with Lisa

I joined Lisa (Lollipop Box Club) for a Sunday afternoon craftalong on zoom and did three pages whilst people chatted and shared what they were upto. It was great fun. Lisa gave us two challenges…

Challenge 1

The first one was a 30 min challenge where we had to use something bin worthy, 2 circles, have 3 places to journal and use no more than 4 colours (excluding black and white).

We were given 10 mins to grab stash and decide on our project. I went for my latest junk journal made with lots of different random papers off the desk in which I’ve decided to document trips in the UK. I grabbed papers and bits from the last Lollipop Box Club kit … including a scrap of fabric that otherwise would have ended up in the bin as too small to use.

I die cut circles from the paper, layered up the tissue and some papers onto the page… my colours were blue, green, yellow and Kraft.

I loved creating the two pockets for journalling tags… the small one and the large tag.

I hadn’t quite finished the tag decorating and journalling when the 30 mins was up but by the time we got to sharing it was all completely finished… and the glue on the sequins was dry! Result!

Challenge 2

The 2nd challenge was a sketch provided by Korrieanncreations with some added bits… use string, stripes, stickers, staples.

For this I worked in my Christmas themed journal and documented my daughters first Christmas Dinner.

I didn’t quite follow the sketch exact… I didn’t add the bottom left cluster but loved what I did create. I also added the journalling into a little pocket on the left hand side which was extra. Love how the crochet trim from another page still works with this page too.

Finally… a third page just created whilst chatting…

This was back in the UK trip junk journal and again used bits from the last lollipop box club kit… I love those cameras on the paper… perfect for capturing the story of my daughter taking this picture.

All in all a lovely afternoon. So pleased I joined as I was close to chickening out as I didn’t know anyone but it was all friendly and felt really comfortable in everyone’s company.
