Stampin Up Sunday: fancy phrases inchies

Today I have another swap project I made to share with you, this time using the Fancy Phrases stamp set to decorate some inchies.

The inchies are actually cut from the backing board from a foil sheet set … it’s quite thick and good for creating these little pieces of art.

I made these for the UK stampers forum swap.

I stamped them using soft suede ink and then edged each inchies with the same ink to frame them.

Then I used my Prismacolour pencils to add some colour to the flowers and leaves. I love the sketchy nature of these flower images, means no precise colouring is required.

I finished them off with some wink of stella which is difficult to photograph but think you can just about see in the pic above.

Happy crafting!

World cardmaking day card

So a few weeks ago it was world card making day and I made a card to send to a random person in a card exchange.

I used some of the lovely Flowers for every season dsp and teamed it with Pretty Peacock cardstock. Then used the Jar of Flowers stamps and embossing to add the focal feature.

I added some strips of washi tape to add some glitter and different textures.

I decided to add colour to the flowers using Prismacolour pencils.

Hope my random person liked it!

Scrimpy blog hop … summer!

So I’m joining the team with a blog hop today showcasing summer themed projects. I decided to use the Jar of Flowers stamps, and a sneak peek of the stamps from the catalogue releasing next week… in this case … Lots to Celebrate and Peace & Joy.

Love how this card came out… now it is time to go hopping!

Dragonflies paint a long with LillyPea designs

Another paint a long, another picture I am happy enough with that I’ve framed it!

Just like the bee one, this was with LillyPea Designs over on Facebook.

That final picture was where I left it at the end of the session… but a couple of days later I pulled out my Prismacolour pencils and added a little more definition to finish off the picture.

And then I framed it and hung it in my craft room…

DT: CHNC: Santa Claus

Time for another Christmas card for the CHNC blog and this week Hazel wanted us to include Santa!

I used papers I had been gifted and were in the stash and used some dies to cut some circles to add interest. The sentiment was also gifted in a stash swap and the Santa image I have had printed off a long time. I decided to colour him in using pencils for a change.

I finished off the card with the three pearl gems.

DT: CHNC: for a woman/girl

I couldn’t resist using this 2 Turtle doves knitting image when I saw the prompt was to create for a woman/girl over at CHNC. So many of my crafting girls are knitters so this is made with them in mind.

I coloured the image using my Prismacolour pencils.

I used papers and cardstock to layer up the image and the sentiment.

I also added the sequins to finish off.

DT: CHNC: no patterned paper

Hi

Another design team project for Craftyhazelnuts Christmas challenge blog. This week the challenge is no patterned paper and I have created a really simple card using stamps from Creative Stamping magazine and my beloved Prismacolour pencils.

Here is the finished card.

And the steps to getting to this…

Love how the colour builds up with the pencils even over the dark green cardstock that the blank is made from.

Finished off with the sentiment and a little wooden embellishment from the stash.

Loved making this. So relaxing to just spend time colouring in. Wonder what everyone else on the blog does to make a card without patterned paper.

Happy crafting!

DT: Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge

Another design team project for Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge and this time I took some gentle papers from the stash with a lot of inking, die cuts, tags and a Petal Palette image.

Love how these turned out… really love the flowers which I coloured with my Prismacolour pencils… this was such a lovely relaxing task to colour them.

Off to see what the others on the blog have been making now. Why don’t you join us?

Happy crafting!
