My auntie’s birthday card!

Yesterday was my lovely Auntie Margaret’s birthday. So on Thursday when I spent time with my friends crafting I made her a lovely special card!

As I wasn’t at my house, and had not prepped for what crafting I was going to do, I did have to ‘borrow’ a lot of the supplies lovely Mara had as I had pretty much taken a bit of white cardstock and that was it!

I have to admit when I had seen the Regarding Dahlia stamp I did think it would make a good triple time stamping card … And this twisted version looks just as fab as I thought it would!

I stamped it in a combination of pinks and purples and blue. I added the lovely sentiment from Label Love, the doily to soften the layered edges, some bling and a little bit of ribbon and it made a fab card topper for this 8×8 card.

Love the mix of colours and the stamped image just speaks for itself!

Happy birthday Auntie Margaret! By the way this is posted on my blog before I have even managed to post the card … My family know what I am like for doing this … Oops! Sorry auntie M!

Happy crafting!

Thursday Treasures! Prompt time

Afternoon all! Time for a Thursday Treasures post!

This weeks prompt I decided to tackle whilst at Helen’s crop a week or so ago. The great news about that was the ability to play with bits and pieces I don’t own myself and give them a good try out! This is exactly what this layout is full of!

In fact the only thing I used on here that I own would be the Language of Love stamps and of course the paper and inks!

My magic had, of course, to come from Disney and I chose the moment caught on camera by the princess, of the hubby and I re-enacting the kiss in Sleeping Beauty in front of the fabulous stained glass window! Then I filled the page with lots and lots of hearts. Of Helen’s stock I used … Love you More, Hearts a Flutter, Heart to Heart punch and plenty of alpha stamps! I also used Label Love and the coordinating Artisan Label Punch to add the best friend label.

Love how this came out… Oh and I have forgotten to mention the last item of Helen’s that I used … The fabulous Angled Tag punch. Now when I saw these in the catalogue I wasn’t sure … Now I NEED this … So no doubt this will be added to another order soon! Lol!

Layout came from a page I pinned on Pinterest here. I am loving using Pinterest in this way. Makes me think differently about how I scrap pictures and I usually end up making more of an effort as a result!

Happy crafting!
