Another of the In Colors for you… Yes it is time to go for a dip in …
Love this colour! But I have to admit I didn’t end up using a lot of it for this card… But hey, that’s just the way it goes sometimes!
I actually started with the scrap of DSP which was from Soho Subway and then grabbed some bits and pieces that were leftovers from other projects… Like the piece of Strawberry Slush which had been punched out using the Chevron punch, then a circle from Basic Grey and some bakers twine. Finally time to add some Lost Lagoon… I used the Gorgeous Grunge stamps on the card blank, and overlapping some of the DSP, then I took some white linen cardstock and created the two other toppers… One using the Serene Silhouettes circle stamp and the other using a stamp from a card set.
I then decided it needed some more pink in there so added in a little Bliss butterfly.
Yes the princess was invited to another social get together on Friday… So here is the card I made for the gorgeous girl in question!
The girl stamp I have had in my stash for an age… Love her! Coloured her with inks and waterbrush and then stamped the sentiment from one of the simply create card kits. I then corner rounded the panel and edged it, added a scrap of ribbon and then fixed it to the card blank. I seem to be in a DL card blank mood a lot at the moment. Funny how you go through phases I suppose!
Simple to create card, and perfect for the princess’ friend.
My lovely talented friend Helen ran a class using the Hip Hip Horrah simply created card kit and I wasn’t able to attend, but did enter a little competition she ran on her Facebook page and won the kit! Woo hoo! And incredibly generous of her! Look at the lovely set of stash!
However the cards that SU designed, although cute, we’re not really what I wanted to make so I decided to make a set of Christmas cards instead! Yes that’s right … This cheery summery set ended up Christmassy!
Taking a picture of the finished designs proved a little difficult so good luck seeing everything!
Then I selected some of the ones that are my favorites that I made for you to have a closer look. I used some random HOTP stamps I got in a freebie for most of them, with some additional word stamps!
Leftover from the kit are still a lot of arrow stickers which I wanted to save for scrap booking projects and a couple of the speech bubble stickers again I saved for other projects. I also haven’t used the stamps, paper clip and twine embellishments. I did however add some rhinestone gems to most cards …. Have to have some bling!
I think because I am not so good at following instructions this is a good way of me using these fabulous card kits! Plus I get more out of the kit as I still have bits and pieces to use!
