Back to another In color this week for the weekly spot of colour!
And so I bring you…
This is a real burnt orange type of colour! I decided to go all Summer Silhouettes with this one!
I started with my favourite embellishment … A doily! My friend M can’t see the use of these and I can’t stop using them! How funny! I also decided to start using some of the gorgeous washi tape I have been hoarding but never think to use!
I also decided to team it with some embossing using the cute Decorative Dots and the lovely brushed gold cardstock and a sentiment from Hello, Lovely
My finishing touches were the lovely pearls I dotted around!
It’s time for a catch up post!
On Wednesday my lovely friend Helen (check out her blog) held a fab class on the baby wipe technique!
Now I use a lot of baby wipes… But usually to clean things, not to add ink to stamps! But the thing with the baby wipe technique is it is a lovely subtle way of adding multiple colours to a stamped image.
Helen chose the fabulous Petite Petals set to keep the five cards we were making similar, but with loads of other bits and pieces too!
I didn’t actually finish my cards at the class … I forgot adhesive … Plus concentrated on getting all the stamping done instead! But yesterday I put them together. I didn’t 100% follow the instructions… Only one genuine mistake … Otherwise known as “doing a Catherine” where I affixed the card topper to the card base upside down … But the other slight changes were just where I wanted to add some ink to edges which I sponged on. So sorry Helen, not exact replicas but still all your gorgeous designs are there!
Hope you like the set … I think they make lovely cards I must admit.
