Something Lacy – Inkyfingeredcat

So this year I have decided to challenge myself to make a set of cards, scrapbook page or journal layout using each of my stamp sets as I know I have some I rarely use!

Something Lacy is this week’s stamp of choice and boy have I struggled. In the end I made this tag using the stamp in the background.

I used Distress inks to blend the colours on top. Then added some gesso before adding some bookprint and cardstock over a patch. Then I added some grunge paste and the sentiment.

I then added the hearts and painted them with a shimmer paint and the stars were glued down. Then found the present in the JOFY stamps and coloured that with distress inks too.
Not 100% happy with this … nor can I see myself using the something Lacy again… I have far more interesting background stamps, this is just too prescriptive I think… so yes it’s another for the lose it pile!

This is actually a two for one card… Summer Silhouettes and Something Lacy.

I stamped pieces of Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy cardstock with the Craft white ink.

I mounted the navy on white cardstock and then mounted them up.

I decided to die cut a sentiment from a gold cardstock to add to the top and then added some card candi to finish off… oh and added another mat of cherry cobbler card.

Finished off the envelope with some stamping….

Love the final card but must admit I am struggling to love the Something Lacy stamp. Just can’t see that I would ever use this much…. so think it might be one for the lose it pile.
