Another 18th birthday balloon card

I actually made this and gave it last month but only just getting around to blogging as I forgot to edit the photos and write this up.

I used the waffle flower die and stencil and made a very green bunch of flowers using distress oxides to layer the inks. I decided to add some pattern to the balloons by adding a stencil on top of the stencil so there are striped and dotty balloons in the bunch.

I die cut the balloon four times to stack the die cut background but then also decided to add stencilling in the background using normal die inks and a lighter application of the pale green.

Next I die cut the numbers and then gave them two coats of embossing with an emerald green colour powder. I used the same powder to emboss the sentiment too which I cut as a panel and raised up on foam in the middle with the ribbon behind. I then added a little bow of the silver ribbon and some transparent green sequins for embellishment.

Love how you can change up the balloons for this both by colours and also adding pattern with other stencils.

Happy crafting!

Catherine
