Scrappin Saturday

It has been a few weeks of Scrappin Saturdays of design team projects so I decided it was time to grab something different and do a Scrappin Saturday on video too!

I made up some page kit type pouches so it makes my life a little easier to grab a kit and at least the base of the scrapbook page will be easy as I have papers together – also means I am actually using up some of those old papers! Like the gorgeous Maggie Holmes scripty paper I have been hoarding! well this one came together quite easy once I tore that paper – it suddenly became easy to use!

The pictures are from Stoke Gabriel which was close to where we went on holiday and had a glorious day walking there, eating lunch and walking back.

I chose to print the pictures as small squares and so could create the strip of photos… and then one smaller one of me with my view at the millpond.

I teamed the maggie holmes paper with an old SU one where I used both sides of the paper to be the other two patterns.

I added in lots of embellishments and bits and pieces from my stash – and loved added the waxed thread curls down the page (very Sarah Davies inspired!)

I didn’t leave much room for journalling but did squish it in to the space between the photos and the papers.

I really love how this came out. Quite busy but I think it still works. I am so pleased with myself for getting this paper used in some way – still have half a sheet left too – so no excuses I need to now get that used up too! For now it’s gone into a pouch with leftovers from this and other pages I’ve been making as a future use the scraps project (or two!) 🤣

Happy crafting!

Catherine
