Hello! I bought a layered stencil from hobbycraft a good few months ago and this was my first play with it making a lovely background straight onto my card blank.

I chose the perfect colours for an autumnal card which I actually sent to the lovely Martin with my latest batch of samples – so it was good to make something seasonal! Also those of you who follow Martin or I on instagram may well have seen this earlier this week as he kindly shared my card on his stories – thanks Martin x

A mix of orange, green and brown! After the ink blending I decided to grab a gold pica pen and also add some gold to a few elements.
I decided to keep the card quite simple – two banners, a bit of bakers twine and one card Candi – and of course that die cut word.

But then I also wanted a bit more shine – so took some die cut sprig leaf elements which I had cut out of the waste from the autumn garland I made and added those.
And then because Martin, like me, loves a bit of splatter I got out my copper acrylic ink which I haven’t used for ages – and went splatter happy!

Just love this!
Happy crafting!
