DT: Kingston Crafts – card bases – Festive Friday 2025 #44

Todays Festive Friday is one of my design team projects for Kingston Crafts using the fabulous card bases kit- I took the three that had a grey gingham base and did some really simple Christmas cards using some digital stamp images and then die cutting a shape to mount them on from another card base.

It was good to have this project ready to blog about (I actually made it in May as after Christmas in July I needed to not have to think Christmas and create some more cards just yet!).

I then added sentiments that were stamped and die cut, a few gems and then called them done as a perfect example of a quick and easy card.

The line art on these digital stamps are so simple to colour and fussy cut out. Then a die cutting scalloped circle for this one from the fun pastel rainbow tartan pattern card made a lovely base.

I used the same pattern card for the die cutting circle for this one too and this time kept to a monochrome for the gnome in the greens and of course the same with the gems.

For the reindeer I chose a card base that has loads of presents on it and chose a stitched rounded rectangle for the topper element instead.

On all three I used my promarkers and stampin blend alcohol markers to colour. I added some white highlights with a posca pen and then added the waffleflower sentiments.

I love the pop of the gems too on each one.

Simple but perfectly effective Christmas cards.

And obviously this is totally the wrong project for today – Happy Halloween!

Happy crafting!

Catherine
