30 day Christmas card making challenge – day 23

Back to a sketch! And back to using the Christmas tags and more dsp kit.

This time I chose to not actually use the patterned paper and instead used the die cut elements from the kit to create the sketch elements.

I decided to create the panel from the sketch using masking and inking with a subtle pattern of the snowflakes.

I raised up the central element for the sketch; the wreath and bird with the sentiment. Behind this I added the ribbon.

I also added splatter to the card which I think gave a lovely extra touch!

Especially as it is shimmer splatter!

Inside the card I added a strip of the paper and some more die cut elements to finish off!

If you want to see how I made this all though please check out my YouTube.

And so this is another lovely card using the speciality dsp – I didn’t think that this was the SU paper I bought that I would use the most – can’t believe I haven’t touched the Modern Christmas dsp yet – although that might be because I am hoarding it to stroke! 🤣

Anyway that’s another sketch challenge done and I think this one is probably the one I’ve kept closest to the original sketch!

Happy crafting!

Catherine
