Encouragement card using foiled sentiments

So those who watch my YouTube will have seen a video tonight all about how I bulk make foiled sentiments … after the video I decided I would rearrange my stored sentiments into types of sentiment rather than by brand etc … this left me with rather a lot in one pile … encouragement type sentiments.

And so I thought as I don’t make and send those sort of cards often I would try and make a card like I do with scrap strips in some way!

And here it is!

Really chuffed with how this worked out. It’s been catching my eye all day in my office too as so different from what I normally make!

I separated all the ‘you’ve got this’ ones and then chose a panel of black and made myself a wonky brick wall! I made a line of matching ones and then a different type for the next line down.

I left room across the middle for the main big sentiment strip.

I wasn’t bothered that there were different foil or cardstock colours – I think this is the beauty of the actual panel – lots of fab colours and fonts and sizes.

Once I had adhered them to the panel with the exception of the larger one I trimmed off the edges and then decided to kept the base of the card simple – just some stencilled dots.

I then adhered the panel in place.

I raised the main big sentiment up onto about four layers of scrap cardstock strips to give some dimension and the just doodled a little outline around.

Inside the card I added another line of stencilled dots and then one more foiled sentiments.

Really pleased with how this came out and that I could use some many sentiments on the one piece to create a fun background for the main sentiment.

Might have to give this another go with one of the other sentiment types I have quite a lot of to use some of those up too! Maybe die cut the panel into a circle or different shape once I’ve adhered them? But that’s a task for another day! This is it for today’s blog!

Happy crafting!
