Dragonfly ATC #240

Hi there… today I have an ATC made out of a scrap of a stamped paper I didn’t use for a card.  It is stamped with an Indigo Blu stamp and then coloured using Brushos.

Then I adhered it to a blue card and some torn white paper.

Next I added the dragonfly that I coated in embossing powder to make it shiny and then added the title using my Dymo label machine.

Happy Fathers Day (239)

Hi there and happy fathers day to all the dads (and the single parents who have to do twice the work!!!).

Firstly I have the fathers day card I made for my hubby … the best dad I could wish to raise our daughter with!

And if you think it looks familiar… it is actually using the bits I created as part of the crafty session on Tuesday.

I did change it up from the original a bit with the heat embossed heart, the additional panel to frame and the stamping on the side. But otherwise it is the brushos background and the Indigo Blu bare forest stamp.

I also didn’t get round to making exactly the same as the samples. In fact I’ve so far made one ATC and am part way through finishing a couple of cards off too!

Here is the ATC!

I used the green torn paper from the hot air balloon card and the car from the painted card to create this. I just added some sewing and some texture paste through a stencil … oh and some raffle ticket bits too.

Love how this came out. I also added some blue and yellow neocolour to the edges and then some black ink.

I did finish one card in class…  I only changed it a bit from the sample with a different focal stamp.

UK stampers ATCs … gorjuss girls (236-238)

I made three ATCs using some scrap cardstock as the base and then the main focus of the Gorjuss Girl stamps.

I filmed the whole process which actually took place over a few days.  Here is the link to the video.

I am sending these as my contribution to a swap with UK stampers forum… Hope that whoever receives them enjoys them. I loved making them.

Santoro boat girl ATC 235

Hello

Another ATC made using a brushos background as the starting point. And another Santoro stamp.

The green and blue strip I over stamped with a grey ink and the kaisercraft stamp.

I then added two strips of patterned paper left from an Artful Days goodie box.

I then added the stamped girl image which I had coloured using brushos … I had them out on the desk so it seemed the best option!

Love how this came out. May have to use this image more often as I often bypass her!

ATC 234 Gorjuss mermaid

Hello there

I’ve got a single ATC I made to share with you today.

It features one of the lovely Gorjuss Girl stamps… this time a mermaid design.

The background was a brushos mop up piece from another project. I then added two cut off pieces of acrylic painted card and a strip of foiling using tape.

I painted the girl using brushos to paint with.

I love how this came out although my painting could have been neater.

Two ATCs from the scraps 232 and 233!

Today I’ve got another video for you … this time of two ATCs I made this weekend from scraps and gifted punched papers.

Check out the process video here…

… and the finished articles which I love are here. Particularly love the treasure gold shine against the mahogany and Green Patina paints. Scrummy!

Also love the turretted castle stamp from ArtJourney.nl … Particularly when stamped on ombre paper like this.

Arty session with the gang… male cards

Hi there.

Tonight I have some time with my local crafty friends for playing with mixed media.  The plan for tonight is some cards suitable for men.

I find male cards difficult but still need to make them.  So thought this would be the good push I needed.

Card one is this green hot air balloon one. I kept this relatively simple with some distress inking and embossing.

Card two is a vintage seaside one using distress oxides.

Then onto card three which is a brushos background, an indigo blu stamp and then some embossing for the sentiment.

And finally the painted card. I sort of threw everything at this… stencilling/stamping/doodling.

I used a Paperartsy Hot Picks stamp for the focal image.

So these are the samples which I’ve prepared.  Will have to see what we actually create tonight in between the chat!

Happy crafting!

    Number postcard swap

Today I have a postcard swap I’ve made for UK stampers forum on facebook. The theme for this month is ‘numbers’.

I started my postcard with some bookprint… the index from an atlas… plenty of numbers on that.

Then I added modelling paste through a Paperartsy number stencil in places… more numbers.

Then some gesso and some Bistre powder and water to create the vintage background.  I then took an Andy Skinner stencil and added some more numbers using distress oxide inks.

I then used some archival ink and a sponge to add some more colour and depth to the raised numbers.  I then decided on the Banksy stamp for the focal image and stamped it onto cream card and cut it out.

I decided that the background needed something more and added  little bit of text stamping using a magazine freebie stamp. Then added the title. I also added a little more ink around those raised numbers too!

Mounted it onto some Brown card as the postcard needs to go through the post and wanted it to be extra sturdy!

Hopefully the recipient will like it.

    Happy crafting!

    New goodies ATC’s 228-231

Hello! Glad you have popped by.  I have new goodies to share with you…

… Badass chick stamps! A friend of mine Pat subscribed to this Dutch stamp monthly set and I couldn’t resist so I joined in too!

I love the first set I’ve received. So I immediately went to work playing and made the following 4 ATC’s.

Embossing and Dylusions sprays for this fun blue card.

This one is using the Distress stains to create an Monte effect and then stamped the girl three times and then again onto some other card and fussy cut it out. The sentiment came from a digistamp set.

This one was using the heart stamp to emboss and then the girl stamp. I then created a simple dress and decorated it with the little dash stamps. I coloured it using SU inks.

The final one is using distress oxides and a bit of paint…. oh and embossing again.

I also added the flower and a wooden circle embellishment from Artful Days Goodie box.

Absolutely love this stamp set… so fun and such a joy to get a lovely surprise through the post every month of funky stamps!

    Happy crafting!

    Replacement Patwits journal pages

Unfortunately one of our circle journals never made it back to its owner … and the lovely Chris who organises us all is without her journal. Some of us have made her pages to bind into a journal in the hope that it goes some way to replacing the lost artwork.

    Here is what I made…

I added black gesso through the stencil, then some washi tape and then lots of bright brushos and added Matt medium to stabilise them. I love how this dragged some of the gesso across in streaks too.

I then stamped onto separate panel the Hot Picks image and adhered that. Then stamped the sentiment below. I kept this page quite simple with just a little bit of gold pen accents.

The other side however was far more detailed and I’ve done this on YouTube so you can check out my process.

However here is the finished page.

The whole process took several hours but I managed to get the video down to about 10 mins.

I was on a roll and thought why not make another page.

I love paper piecing the Clare Lloyd girl. And the colours for this page really spoke to me.  The reverse side I have a different feel but with similar colours with the fun Lin Brown house stamp.

    Happy crafting!
