Here are the other two atcs I made which were part of the project I shared on Wednesday.  This is the starting point for the bottom two cards.

I decided for both of them to add a sentiment to them where the stamping had not quite worked. 

The second one I think I will end up turning into a birthday card topper, but for now here it is as an ATC.

So I made a few random ATCs on Monday whilst clearing some space on the desk. 

This first one is using a distress oxide background I started a few weeks ago when mopping up the ink off my mat rather than just wiping it away. I added the stamped letters from Tap Tap Tap and some modelling paste leftover from the sample for the class then added a hot air balloon die cut from foam. 

The next one was distress stain on the background which blended so prettily. I then used modelling paste through a feather stencil I have. Then added the frame of feathers using a stamp from a magazine. The quote I printed out. 

And the next one is a scrap of a doodled page from a book I’ve been using for backgrounds. Although the base colour is the book, all the doodles are mine using spectrum noir pencils. I added the die cut flower leftover from the sample making and then the quote is a Tim Holtz sticker. I then had to add the stickles to the flower for the bling!

Loved finishing off these little beauties.  All so different and fun. 

Great what can be made from little bits and pieces!

I have a couple of ATC’S to share today made for the Artful ATCs swap where the theme this month is Steampunk. 

I started with this piece of card onto which I had blotted some other atcs made with Distress stains and then added some more stain to finish colouring. I had then taken some Hot picks stamps from Paperartsy and using different coloured inks stamped them all over.  Whilst I was at it I also created another sheet below.

I loved both of them so decided to get emboss onto them the feature images from the Hot picks stamp sets. 

I used am emerald green  embossing powder to add contrast.

I then cut each up into ATC size and chose the two I liked the best for the theme … the top two. The others I will no doubt finish off at some point soon but for now they are in the PhD pile (Projects half done!). 

So here is how they ended up… 

I added little embellishments using brass to them and then stamped sentiments from the same Hot picks sets. On the balloon one I added distress stain to the sentiment as a nice contrast. I also used coloured brads too.

And on the clock man I kept it black and white instead and the brad is a little button one. 

Love how these both turned out. Bright and cheery and yet wonderfully Steampunk too!

Tonight some of the usual gang are coming over to mine to play with gelatos. Here are the samples I made. 

First an ombre blended background with a silhouette die cut and stamped sentiment.

Next a background with loads of stencilling and some lovely Lin Brown stamps.

And then I promised a scrap page… always a challenge to teach as it will depend on the photos they want to scrap as to what might be suitable.  With that in mind the papers are fairly generic from American Crafts 6×6 pad and I used modelling paste to add texture.  Then I used the packaging technique for adding the gelatos.

And finally an ATC  (of course) using resist in the background and then diecutting the ombre background for the hot air balloon. 

So a bit of a mixed bag of projects but hopefully something for everyone!

Hi there… how is it May already? 

Ah well happy May to all my readers… and today I have a pirate card for my DT contribution to Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge. 

I used magazine papers from the stash and a very old stamp the origin of which is now unknown! 

I even made this on video so you can watch the process… here it is.

But for now I am off to see what the others did for their contribution and looking forward to blog hopping through the entrants too!

I had missed a dragonfly swap over on the Artful ATC group as it was before I joined the group but when someone suggested a small additional swap I jumped at the chance as I love Dragonflies. 

I had to make three in total so here are my three… 

This started life as a scrap from an inky gelli print and had additional distress stains added and then the dragonfly embossed using an emerald embossing powder. Then mounted onto navy and doodled the edge. 

A distress oxide background which I then added a magazine stamp that has lots of writing scraps on it… Love this stamp a lot. 

I then then stamped with versafine and partially heat embossed with black fine detail powder. As it only caught part of the image this provides a more ethereal quality to the shine. I did the same with the sentiment. 

I then added a little gel pen colour to the dragonfly just to add some contrast.

And the final one… 

This was a gelli plate painted background that I loved as it was so I added the dragonflies to a piece of acetate using Stayzon and mounted the layers using brads. I then mounted it onto a base with some craft foam to raise it off the back.  

This is my favourite and yet it is also so simple. 

Lovely additional swap done and dusted.

180 ATCs made since Jan 1st. Wowsers! 

And here it is… 

I started with a piece of mixed media cardstock and soaked it in a mixture of distress stains although mainly Picked Raspberry. 

Once dry I added a stencil and babywiped a little ink away so those are the faint hearts in the background. 

Next I added the strips of punchinella using some fun coloured staples.  Then the main feature of the Dylusions cat which after stamping in archival I also coloured with the distress stain.

I added doodles and the PURR title and jobs a good’un!

So there we go… 180th ATC! Almost halfway through my challenge (well ahead of schedule) and still enjoying it.

Yes of course I couldn’t resist adding an ATC into the mix.  A fairly ambitious set of projects for a couple of hours but hopefully we will get there fairly easily.
