For ATC’S sake … 8

A single ATC to share today. This is a piece of scratch paper I then added some leftover texture paste through a stencil and edged with black gesso…  as you can see there is plenty going on in the background on this one so time to pull it together into something.

I decided the colour needed unifying a little more… so Blackberry Infusions got added onto the card with some water.

Once dry this gave it a lovely warm brown/purple colour.

I then added some stamping using the Butterfly Basics stamp set. There are some lovely little stamps in this set… shold remember it more often! I decided to then add some lovely wide lace and some little tags (with a brad) from the embellishment box and a stamped butterfly. aso I acted the butterfly to stand out I stamped it onto the turquoise patterned paper.

Love the bright pop of colour the butterfly added!

Finished off with the quote from the same stamp set but cut it up and added it as strips.  I then added some doodling and some gems to the butterfly.

Love how this one came out! another one done in the 365 challenge for 2017!

Happy crafting !

Christmas card for the hubby

Realised I never got round to sharing a pic of the card I made for the hubby when I went to take down the decorations…. so here it is!

I used stamps from Creative Stamping magazine to provide the wreath and the beautiful stag illustration in different green and purple colours and finished it with some Tim Holtz sentiment stickers.

So this should be the last of the 2016 Christmas projects…. need to now make a start on 2017! Ha ha ha! Maybe not!

Happy crafting!

For ATC’S sake … 5, 6, 7

Today I have three ATC’S that all started from the same base but all are very different.

The base was some cardstock I had wiped off a stencil on where I had used iridescent medium. This left a lovely dotty background which worked perfectly as a resist too!

So to all of them I added Distress ink in shabby shutters and then on two I also added peeled paint and on the other old linen. Then started building up the ATC’S.

This one I added a strip of green paper and then the beautiful butterfly I found in the embellishment box. then I added a little tag that I stamped on and then added the ribbon with added coloured staple.

The final touches were to add the stamping of some splotches using old linen.

OK the second one, this one I added some embossed silver tape, hessian and a little image I found. Then I dug out the gilding flakes and added those as a border to the piece.

And the final one… i went a bit fun and funky. I added a strip of both apple patterned paper and green paper. I also added the faux stitching detail down it.

The image is one I got on a swap… just so cute. So although it’s not exactly seasonal it works so well with the paper and the background I had to use it.

So seven days into the challenge and 7 ATC’S made. On track for 365 in the year.. just 358 left to go! worried? Nah.

Happy crafting !

DT: Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge

I’m a bit late with my card for the Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge this month… made the card and then forgot to blog it… ooops!

Anyway… I made this card for my brothers birthday using the Geometric DoCrafts paper and a stamped image from a creative stamping magazine.

So now off to catch up with what the rest of the design team have been up to.

Happy crafting!

For ATC’S sake … 4

Today I have ATC number 4 to share. this was a quick cute one.

I used some book print I had already done some Gelli printing on as the base and added the pink paper and some cute stars to it.  Then I took some glittery washi tape and tore little strips which I put along the bottom half like a mosaic. The rabbit image is a digital stamp I had already got coloured in from ages ago and the word stickers are Tim Holtz ones.

Love this cute bunny rabbit and a cute ATC to carry on with the challenge..  361 to go!

Happy crafting!

For ATC’S sake… 1, 2, 3

This year I have decided to challenge myself to create 365 ATC’S.  Now that is not necessarily one a day as I often make them in batches of 2 or 3. So at least once a week I will share the ones I have made and what number I am upto!

I’ve started the year with a whole batch of ATC’S ready to work on by cutting up scratch sheets and Gelli prints so they are all ready to go…

Are you ready for the first three?

OK here goes….

This was a piece of dsp that I used as a palette and wipe off for stencil work I was doing in a journal in October last year. I cut the paper up into the ATC size and then put them to one side to work on whenever I fancied it… as you know the stash of these grows and grows. I have quite a stash of these to make this year’s challenge a little easier.

I added a little bit of stencilling adding the coffee cup stains with black gesso mixed with white to make a dark grey and then texture paste for the splashes.

Next I added some stickers and die cut shapes and some little bits of muslin. Then added butterflies as the main focal point of the cards with some sequin waste stapled onto the top.

I finished off with doodles, words and gem stones.

Happy crafting!
