OK so today’s blog is actually a project I started way back in November (as in that’s when the swap should have happened and I gathered the supplies and the idea) but only finished last weekend.
The postcard art swap group I belong to on Facebook had the theme of unicorns and rainbows for November but due to a busy old time, and then Covid and then Christmas my recipient Pat only actually got my postcard this week. Ah well better late than never!
I also forgot to take a pic of the postcard before I sent it… so this pic is the one Pat posted when she received it!

I took some cardstock that was a bit glossy and used both Dylusions spray inks and distress stains to add the colourful background. Once it was dry I added texture paste and black gesso through the stencil (aall & create) to create the rainbow arch.
The unicorn is from the Magical Day set and after colouring with promarkers I added wink of Stella and glossy accents.
Once dry I adhered it on the panel and then chose the sentiment from the Art by Marlene sticker book which I mounted and also added the glossy accents to.
I then double mounted the panel to make the postcard nice and sturdy.
Love this colourful and whimsical postcard.
Now for my slice of life… brunch, meal prep, a walk in the ice and snow, crafting, tea time and Wandavision… a fab chilled out day! Need I say more? And I’ve made this months postcard swap before the month ends ready for posting tomorrow and blogging next week. Result!
Happy crafting!
Catherine
