Mixed media Monday… another house project

Hi

Once again I gave the post a themed type of title … not sure if it will become a routine thing or not… let’s see shall we?

Well this particular Monday I am sharing a mixed media piece I made for the Mini Marvels house themed swap. I already made a couple of houses but then volunteered myself to make another project for a different recipient. This is what I made!

Both the back and the house pieces are made from chipboard and were in my box of Art Parts I’ve had for ages! I used the fabulous fresco finish paints to decorate them which lots of rough stamping to add texture.

I decided for the hole in the house to add some bookprint onto which I had stamped the paperartsy stamp.

Unlike the other houses I made I added some details to this house (a door and window) with doodles … I also added grass doodles to the background.

I decided to add emphasis to them by adding glossy accents and also to the triangle part of the roof and the centre of the flower.

I also really wanted to use the stamp for the title that is a Paperartsy HotPicks stamp. I stamped it on white and the cut it up so it would fit on the panel.

I decided to also paint the little easel stand so it coordinated.

I made sure that the back of the house and panel also looked decorated with bookprint and some paint.

So I am hoping the recipient likes the little panel and easel I made for her.

Must admit I am super happy with it!

Enyering this into the challenge at Creative Artiste
