Mixed media Monday – Chopping up the collaged masterboard

The project last month was making collaged masterboards. Well this month I had to take someone else’s collaged masterboard and make at least 4 somethings out of it… but using ALL of it.

So Dianne had sent me two masterboards and I chose to use this one.

It was challenging to cut into something so pretty but cut it up I did… and ended up with these bits and pieces to play with…

And the left overs…

I think I am forgiven for chopping these little bits off! Lol!

So what did I make… well I made a postcard…

I added washi, the die cut little circle flowers, the punched butterfly and stickers. I also added ink and the strip of fabric and the corrugated oval. Love how the different elements worked well together.

I also created 2 tags, one slightly larger than the other but based on size 8 ranger tags…

Again I added some extra bits like the tissue paper, fabric, die cuts, washi, sewing, stickers, keys and inking!  Also some ribbons and trim for the top of the tags.

Next I made 2 small tags…

I grabbed little elements with texture from my stash… I love the little gold theme for the fairy one… and the sewn elements for the butterfly one.  I ended up adding the base tag to this one in the Calypso Coral cardstock to lengthen it a little too.

Finally I made a bookmark with inchies as the element of the masterboard.

Again I added the extra layers such as the wax paper, ribbon, book print, die cut and sewing. Love how this finished up so much!

So hopefully Dianne likes these and can make use of all the different pieces I made for her from her gorgeous background.

Looking forward to making use of the other masterboard she sent to me for things I can then keep and use.

Happy crafting!
