Colour cube challenge #938

Back to the colour cube challenge as I wasn’t sure what to make with the new to me Waffleflower stamps I had bought … so I went with whatever the random generator gave me … 938 … which meant lots of teal greens!

So I first of all created the topper panel with the plant pot and vases using distress inks in Tumbled Glass, Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles.

I then created the background panel inking with the same three colours.

I grabbed a stencil from the stash to add some pattern in opposite corners and then some of the stamps from the stamp set got stamped too.

Then I started adding a bit of depth to the edge with black soot on both the topper panel and the background panel.

I added the banner using a scrap of black and then added the rub ons from 49&market just add a little extra pattern and grunge.

I chose an Alex Syberia sentiment die cut for the finishing off … a vellum shadow layer and the words from black.

I added everything to the black card base and inside added a panel of card and stamped one of the vases and some greenery.

I just love the drama of this card.

And lovely to have the card determine the colour scheme for me!

Happy crafting!

Catherine
