Some KCC cards

So this months KCC project didn’t happen at the beginning of the month as a result of the craziness of August but I did manage to cut some panels before I gave up!

Yesterday I managed to make some of the cards up – albeit it was a case of using up some bits rather than really planning in advance!

Here we go … card sketch 1

A bright base and then some fun flower die cuts for the focal point! I did flip the sketch for the panel to sit at the bottom rather than the top!

Love the bright colours and the contrast with the black!

So that’s card 1!

Next up I went with card sketch 3.

I love the fun strips that are staggered. Then I used a die cut circle and the die cut ephemera bicycle!

Next I added a foiled sentiment and the gems.

Card sketch four I went with a different focal point …

This is one of those toppers that came with Making Cards magazine so many years ago! So pleased to see these finally finding a home on this set of cards!

Again I love the black layers for the contrast and the orange and green colour combo!

Ok next … I then moved to sketch 6 … moved away from the orange and just a larger panel of the patterned paper and then the base of black.

Then added lots of the ephemera which was on the desk leftover from a scrapbooking kit!

I love that vellum butterfly and think it works well contrasting the bold papers.

Next up I went with sketch 8 and this time more of the ephemera with this pretty blue and yellow colour scheme.

Whilst the papers are quite modern in design they still work well with the more vintage ephemera.

Ok sketch 9 I amended slightly … instead of the two panels and the extra pieces of the patterned paper … I went with a larger topper with one of the Making Cards magazine panel.

I just love the half circle pieces on the left hand side!

And of course I love the picture – how dreamy!

A few more to go!

This time sketch 10 but I rotated it to turn it portrait not landscape!

This time I grabbed one of the larger panels again from old Making Cards magazine kits and added this on the top! Simple!

Sketch 11 took a bit of fiddling but love this with that rainbow background!

I decided to add an acetate floral element from my stash … so bright and cheerful!

I have quite a few of these acetate flowers in the stash courtesy of a design team job so good to find I could use one now … but this is a little spoiler so no telling anyone! 🙈

Ok back to the scene topper … this time using sketch 12!

Really love how the colours worked on this – and such a lovely more masculine card.

Love the gems adding the finishing touches too!

Ok sketch 15 was my last one and I cut down one of the larger sentiment topper panels and this created an element for the card … albeit I changed it from a diagonal design for the little strip elements.

I once again added the black and the orange I kept coming back to as a base colour!

Such a fun and different set of cards!

Hope that you’ve enjoyed this set of fun cards!

Happy crafting!

Catherine
