Hello!

Back to that pouch of digital stamps that are ready printed and ready to play with for today’s Addicted to stamps and more challenge.

I went with this gorgeous Octopode image. I teamed it up with some Spring Slimline papers from Kingston Crafts.

I decided it would work best as a slimline card with the long slim image! I created the panels of the patterned paper for the base and then a little tab for the left hand side. I decided to add in a few die cuts.

I coloured the image with promarkers – tried really hard to get some highlights and texture to the image.

I then added an Altenew sentiment that was die cut and stacked a few deep to make it chunky and give some dimension.

I then added the gold gems to finish off.

Love this image and love the colours I chose to go with those spring slimline papers.

Back with a second project from the magazine kit I have decided to try and video all the projects I make from it – so if you want to see how this project came together please check out my YouTube video.

I am really pleased with how this turned out – I think it is a nice mix of modern and a more vintage design.

Really love the stencilled background and the beautiful flowers I added to the top left.

A fun project – and interesting to use the stencil in the background like this.

I also remembered to add some stencilling to the inside of the card too.

Ploughing on with my swaps – this time the coins!

I really wanted to keep going with the Spring Slimline papers from Kingston Crafts so that is what I used for the background and the strip across the coins.

I next stamped the sentiment on some scrap green cardstock and cut it into strips. I then stamped the bunny rabbit from My Favorite Things stamp set and coloured all three in different colours using my promarkers.

I then die cut the bunny out.

I then assembled the coins adding in a circle of foiled cardstock to each one in a different colour. Love the pop of shine of the foiled cardstock!

When I had put everything together – including the little rainbow I cut from one of the other papers – I then went round the outside of the coin with the yellow glitter glue from the Kingston Crafts set. It’s such a lovely delicate yellow glitter and works so well with the papers.

I am wide awake far too early – actually I’ve hardly slept – which does not bode well for the fact I’m going out tonight! Ah well – thought I would get my blog sorted now and then if I end up napping most of the day to try and survive at least this is done!

I carried on scrapping last weekend after a little break to eat lunch and made another page using the leftovers from the page I had previously made!

This time I started with a crumb cake background and added stamping to that along with some splatter.

I had fun then going through the embellishments stash and adding them. If you fancy watching how it came together please pop along and watch the YouTube video.

Today’s Festive Friday project I switched the camera on and videoed the process … so if you want to see the process please check out my YouTube channel.

I used my trusty messy watercolour process with the embossing for this gorgeous detailed Festive Poinsettia stamp and then fussy cut it out.

I embossed the Merriest Moments panel as a frame and added some splattered gold embossing.

I then used the same stamp set for the sentiments.

Love how beautiful this came out.

I used the gold gems to embellish and then inside I used a white panel but kept it plain as I’d already popped the stamped image away otherwise it might have been nice to stamp that inside!

Carrying on with my swap makes for this month at Uk stampers forum. This time it is twinchies with the theme of spring flowers.

I decided to grab the spring slimline papers from Kingston Crafts and Paperartsy stamps and do some paper piecing.

I embossed them all and then fussy cut to add the flower heads in different papers.

I then added a little label for the sentiment to sit on.

I then used a magazine stamp to stamp onto shrink plastic and then cut them out and used the heat gun to shrink it to a size that works well for the twinchies.

I then doodled the outlines to be in keeping with the style of artwork for the stamps.

When I join in with the Uk stampers forum swaps I usually put tags etc on display on my desk and then swap them out but when I saw Lilian’s tag from February I knew I wanted to use it as a card topper and make use of it as it was the perfect size for a card topper.

I added a bit of ink to the edge of the tag and some shimmer to the colouring of the flower just so I could feel like I added a bit of me – then layered up with the handmade petal paper and some foiled cardstock. Then I added a sentiment and added it all to a card.

So thank you Lilian for the tag and I hope you like how I used it!

I am actually also then sending it onto Sid who organised the swaps at Uk stampers forum – so it’s a total Forum project! 🤣

I am very very late in making my March calendar page.

I made this on the 15th so just about in the first half of the month!

I kept it simple using a gelli print background and a scrap of paper off the desk – I then added the Altenew cactus stamped elements and the title!

So overall simple!

Really need to get on and do the April one so I don’t end up with an empty calendar for half the month!

I’ve started a new series over on my YouTube channel using up a magazine kit I bought!

I spotted this Crafters Companion kit and couldn’t resist getting it – but decided to challenge myself to use it with a series of videos using it up – goodness knows how long it will take – but hopefully it will be fun to see what I make with it all!

Please note that I rarely use the magazine for inspiration in these kits so the idea is that apart from a tiny flick through I have not used it at all! If that changes will let you know as this series progresses!

I started with this zingy green card …

I pretty much just stamped and watercoloured all the flowers and leaves and then fussy cut them all and layered them over the green base.

I had added a little interest to the back with the scored lines but otherwise it’s a simple and plain background raised up against the same colour cardstock for the base card.

I cut the sentiment from the paper pack and then mounted that on black in keeping with the black line art and then added some sequins for the flower centres.

I did choose to only glue the flowers in the centre so that gives them some dimension.

Then I raised the banner sentiment up on foam for additional dimension.

A pretty and bright start to the series!

Looking forward to seeing what else I end up making!

Hi

I am still trying to join in with more of the swaps over at Uk Stampers forum and so I made three ‘spring colours’ ATC today.

I went with some mop up paper from playing with shimmer sprays as the background and then grabbed some scraps of paper that were on the desk for the background added bits. I edged them with green and then worked on the focal feature.

I used the Altenew flower stamp and stencil I got with a magazine a couple of weeks ago and stamped it three times on different scraps of cardstock and then embossed it.

I then fussy cut it – I could have die cut it as the die in the set matches this shape but forgot!

On this one I had stamped on a sprayed piece of card so it has shimmer to it too – I also added extra colour with one of the stencils.

The other two it was a yellow cardstock – one of which I added colour using both stencils. The other just one stencil.

I then used the leaf stencil to draw the leaf shapes and add the colour and then fussy cut them out.

I added these behind the flowers.

I then embossed the sentiment and the banner – these are from a different Altenew set and I fussy cut the Hello and die cut the banners.

I finished off with the gem on each ATC.
