This pad of Kraft patterned papers from Kingston Crafts is most definitely not paper … and I think it is perfect for making card bases!

So I made a 6×6 Christmas card! And this is my Festive Friday for this week!
I made the card base and layered another piece of the same paper but reversed (KC make papers with the same patterned but differently sized on the reverse! So clever!). I distressed the edge to give it a little border – they are white core so this not only gives texture but allows for the white to show through!

Then I went to my pouch of the acetate and vellum ephemera and created a fun cluster using my favourite Kingston Crafts tape runner as the adhesive doesn’t show through!

I added a bow made of the linen thread.
I chose to layer the sentiment panel made from vellum onto white card as I wanted it to have more stability and I didn’t want the pieces underneath to show through and disrupt reading the sentiment. Then I raised this on adhesive foam for going over the cluster and the linen thread bow.

Inside I added a panel of white for writing on and added a little square with more of the ephemera on to finish off!

So cute!
Can imagine making more of these with a few of the other patterns in the pad such as the check or the scalloped strip pattern. So easy!
Happy crafting!
