Merry & Bright scrapbook page

Another of the pages I made at the crop a few weeks ago to share with you today … and will admit I didn’t like this at the time… but now I feel happier with it!

Again I had put together a page kit using up papers from the #100patternedpaperchallenge pile … this time from Kingston Crafts Christmas paper.

I cut some imperfect circles and distressed them and then added the large ribbon looped back and forth.

I then took lots of the chipboard stickers which were leftover from page kits I had previously used.

I added them to create a diagonal across the page and then added the photos on foam adhesive to stack them above the chipboard shapes.

Next I chose the Merry & Bright one to be the title so added that on foam so it was above the photos. I did the same with the Christmas tree chipboard which I placed above the photo section.

I added the journalling but still wasn’t happy with it but couldn’t work out what to do with it. I decided to trim it down a little on each side and then added the panel of the plaid type pattern down the right hand side. Then I felt happier with it!

Am I 100% happy with this page? No but it’s grown on me since the day of the crop.

Funny though that Helen liked it and then scraplifted my layout for one she was doing and that I loved! Not sure why I don’t totally love my page – but sometimes things just aren’t exactly how you imagined them to be – and this was that type of project!

Ho hum!

Happy crafting!

Catherine
