This months Make it Masculine card was very much inspired by the leftover papers from a scrapbook page left on the desktop so that became the theme!

I absolutely love how it came out though! Fabulous texture and pattern and I think it ticks all the boxes of a fun card for a man!

The squares were left from the grid page I made along with the other scraps so I distressed everything and then created the base onto cream cardstock square knowing I wanted to make a 6×6 card.

I then grabbed these chess pieces leftover from Januarys KCC sessions … they became my focal point.

I wrapped and tied some twine for a different texture and then added the sentiment using foam adhesive (the chess pieces were also lifted on foam adhesive).
I then made the inside of the card which I put more effort into than normal – because I was all about using up scraps!

These papers are from the #100patternedpaper challenge I started in January so very much about using them up and not hoarding! Any final scraps that are left get put back into the 100PP box so they will have to get used at some point – chance I was more generous than usual on the inside of this card!
But I love this card. Really enjoyed putting it together and nice to use patterned paper for my Make it Masculine series as it’s not something I always think to use!
Happy crafting!
