Patterned paper – finishing off the Kendra’s card challenge

So back at the beginning of March I made the KCC21 with the paper and got everything ready and made 10 cards – but never finished off the last five. So as I’m getting back in the swing of my challenges etc I decided to finish off those five rather than start a new set off.

I started with sketch 5 and made this one. I added in some ribbon and some sequins but otherwise kept it very similar to the original sketch.

Next I went with sketch number 4….

This one I used an oval of vellum and ran that through and embossing folder and again added those flowers and leaves that I had pre-coloured and fussy cut ahead of the project in March.

This one I mounted onto a polka dot bright card blank rather than the Kraft.

Next up is sketch number 3…

This one I added stencilling to the background with a snowflake design and again added the floral elements and a banner for the sentiment to sit on.

I also chose to add a third flower on foam adhesive to add a bit of dimension. Most of the cards I kept pretty flat except this.

Sketch 2 didn’t use any paper that was specifically Christmas themed so I decided to change it up and went with a birthday card instead.

This one I embossed after adding the half circles to the background panel which I like the look of.

The scripty sentiment die cut I added ink to by pressing into the ink pad which I think gave it a fun look!

Finally sketch one I turned into a bauble!

I love how this came out. Again some embossing for the background panel and then turned the circle to make my bauble.

Love that linen thread too!

So a fun set of five cards made and pleased to have another PHD out of the basket and finished!

I’ve already decided to pause the patterned paper project for next month as I think I have enough going on with Christmas in July but hope to be back in August with some more patterned paper projects for the 1st of the month … and probably not Christmas related as I think we will be ready for a bit of a break by then!

Happy crafting!

Catherine
