Music themed Artist Trading coins

Hello

Another month of swaps has started and over at the Facebook group I organise the theme is “music” and here is my selection…

Ok so I used the masterboard I had made… I added the Sheet Music background stamp using the archival ink. I then stamped the focal images onto tissue paper and adhered them, and then the same with the sentiment.

I also added a little bit of white pen work. Next I added a couple of layers of clear embossing to coat them.

Really happy with these and love the different layers of colour and pattern in the coins. Even such small pieces of art work can have so much to look at.

Happy crafting!

Masterboard postcard

Still working on that masterboard I made… and this time it is the postcard for the UK stampers forum swap.

I added stamping and embossing to finish off the piece of masterboard I cut down to 6×4 inches.

I also added some doodles and some pen marks to finish off and add some definition to the shapes and the image.

DT: Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge

Happy 1st August! How are we already in August? This year has gone too fast already… it needs to slow down! Anyway… it is the first of the month and that means Craftyhazelnuts patterned paper challenge starts again for the month and I have another design team contribution to share… I actually have a few cards from the same cardmaking session to share but this first one is the DT contribution…

I used papers and card topper images from Making Cards magazine published a few months ago for these cards. I teamed them with different colours of card and embellishments to make these rainbow themed cards.

Where I could I added sparkle with my wink of Stella pen or glossy accents to add shine and dimension. Hopefully you can see some of that on the close ups below.

Loved making these bright and cheery cards.

Now let’s see what everyone else has been up to with their stash of patterned paper over on the blog

Two catch up #52playingcardchallenge cards with yesterday’s masterboard

So yesterday I shared the masterboard I made last weekend (not this past weekend … I was at CarFest so no crafting was done!). Well I’ve now made two atcs which are part of the #52playingcardchallenge I’ve been doing and got rather behind on… so glad I’m starting to catch up again!

First up is this … “all that sparkles” contribution which I added some embossing to, glitter paper, and the fab sax from the all that jazz set I’ve been using quite a bit in the last month.

Next… using the same masterboard background… is this “the photograph” card…

I mean how different does that look? Amazing what adding a little distress ink can do!

So there you go … Two very different ATCs from the same masterboard and two cards in catch up for the challenge!

Thank you cards

Tonight I have some thank you cards to share… made using the latest papers and cute images from Making Cards magazine.

Just adore these adorable images. I did add some other papers from the stash along with the cardstock to add some contrast.

Landscape illustration cards

I’m still working through the backlog of cards made with Making Cards magazine stash… Today two landscape illustration themed cards.

Both of these made use of the same patterned paper and spotty card candi from the stash and I love the toppers contrasting against that hexagon paper.

Dogs with glasses

I am back from my weekend away and will be editing pics etc of what I made in the next couple of days and sharing them… but for now a post I had prepared… I found these fabulous images of dogs with glasses on in the stash of Making Cards magazine and needed to use them. I am currently trying to work through the backlog of the magazine stash and some of my patterned papers as I really have far too many!

Had of course to add glossy accents to the lens’ of the glasses to give them shine and dimension.

Aren’t these the cutest ever? Love the knitwear on two of them… they just look so cuddly!

So here we go four more cards for the stash and some more stash worked through!

Happy crafting!
