Hello! I mentioned that I was making this card on a recent haul video as I bought the little penguin from Spellbinders in a sale a couple of months ago and only just got around to cutting him out!

I mean – isn’t he the cutest skating along!
So I cut him from scraps and put him together – he is so easy to do! I did colour his cheeks and beak with alcohol markers though to give it the right colour! And the little star he is holding I coloured with gold pen and then added the glitter glue to make it sparkly.

Now he is actually a moving penguin as the little skating feet move on a mechanism!
I decided to keep the card quite clean and simple – I added a panel of diagonal strips (I create these panels when I ended up with lots of little strips and then set them aside for future crafting – this seemed perfect project to add a pink and purple panel to!).
Then I added glitter glue to the edge of the full panel.

I chose a pink card base and then used a new spellbinders sentiment press plate and die set for the sentiment. I actually used the press plate in the Betterpress for a change (I usually foil them) and it turned out well.
I die cut it twice though to strengthen the die cut especially as I had to have it hang off the snowman with a little foam adhesive.

I love this cute penguin and can’t wait to cut out more – I just need more time to then go through the scraps and dress him in all the colours of the rainbow!
Happy crafting!
